India Presence :

  • The Premium food brand Del Monte was launched in India in the year 2009 under the FieldFresh Foods Pvt Ltd. The brand started its journey by embarking into the B2B space. Within a short span of time the brand grew, and appealed to a large set of consumers, that enabled it to penetrate both in (B2B) and (B2C) segments with a ratio of 50:50. Del Monte has a vast presence in modern trade and general trade and sells extensive range of products across its categories which include Culinary, Beverage, Italian and packaged food. While Del Monte has a presence in over 250 towns, the company is now keen to strengthen its presence on the retail shelves in the top 50 cities.
  • The company also has a world class manufacturing facility and R&D center for processed foods at Hosur, near Bengaluru. The plant has fully integrated & highly automated lines consistently producing high quality products which remain untouched by the human hand. For fresh produce, FieldFresh Foods has an Agriculture Centre of Excellence (ACE) at Ladhowal, Ludhiana in Punjab, which is one of the largest agricultural R&D facilities of its kind and is spread over 300 acres with a state-of-the-art protected & open field cultivation for vegetables.

  • He was in charge of the non-rice division of Kohinoor Pvt Ltd, where he led the project conceptualization and implementation including technology/machinery/manpower selection, project planning and financial viability of the Ambient and Frozen food plant in Bhalgarh. He also launched Kohinoor Ready to Eat products rolled out from this facility, across India and international markets, and also launched a range of premium spices and seasonings under the brand. During his tenure, Kohinoor was selected by Target Corporation US as their exclusive partners for Indian Culinary products, and also won a three year ASDA-Walmart contract for manufacturing of Premium Oriental Cook and Premium Indian Cook in Sauces.
