Personal Profile :

  • Mr. Raj Rajagopal was appointed in 2014 as President for DSM in India and leads the ambitions of the Group to grow and accelerate its presence here. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Rajagopal spent a year at DSM’s HQ in Heerlen, The Netherlands working with the Managing Board and senior leadership of the Group.
  • Mr. Raj Rajagopal began his working career with the ICI Group of Companies where he spent over 25 years and led various businesses such as Specialty Chemicals, Advanced Materials and Paints, and joined the Board of the company in 2000. He then moved to Singapore where he was appointed CEO for ICI Paints across all South East Asian countries. Having established the Region as the most profitable business unit world-wide for ICI, he oversaw its merger with Akzo Nobel in 2007 and led the combined entity. He returned to India in 2009 and turned around SI Group India Limited – the Indian affiliate of the American MNC which had acquired Herdillia Chemicals Ltd and a few other chemical companies.
